The\u00a0<strong><em>Power Lunch<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0was followed by a two-day<strong><em>\u00a0Media Training<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0dubbed: \u201c<em>Emerging reporting trends in the Era of Covid-19\/New normal<\/em>\u201d. The\u00a0<strong><em>Media Training<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Workshop took place on the 03<sup>rd<\/sup>\u00a0of March to 04<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0March, 2021.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The purpose of the two events was to<strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>raise awareness about the Institute\u2019s product and service offerings and to increase media engagements.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>During the events, the attendees were enlightened about the Institute\u2019s products and services and got an opportunity to interact with the NIPA CEO, Ambassador, Professor Royson Mukwena.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The journalists from selected media houses were trained on:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>\u201cReporting Trends in the Era of COVID19\u201d;<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>the difference between \u2018Misinformation\u2019 and \u2018Disinformation\u2019 in reporting on the global pandemic, COVID19;<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>about the health preparedness of the country and the work with the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit in responding to the pandemic;<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>COVID19 and Environmental Concerns;<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>and Entrepreneurship and E-Government.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Prof. Mukwena stunned the journalists and their editors when he disclosed NIPA\u2019s self-financing model.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The Institute received positive coverage of the events.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>It is hoped that the Institute can host many such similar engagements with the media in the future.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>NIPA<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Excellence*Probity<\/strong><\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On the 2nd\u00a0of March, 2021, NIPA hosted News editors from various news houses for a\u00a0Power Lunch.
