Burma Road Satellite Campus (BRC) is situated on Plot number Plot No. 3542/3543 Burma Road, Lusaka. The Head of Campus is Ms. Mary Nalumpa.
The Campus boasts of a modern Library with internet facilities and up-to date reading resources for patrons.
The Burma Road Campus has adequate shared hostel facilities for both male and female students.
A bus is provided three times a day for students who are resident at Burma Road Campus to enable them attend lessons at the NIPA Main Campus.
The Present day Burma Road Satellite Campus, formerly known as Bwacha Hotel is amongst the oldest NIPA infrastructure. In the late 1960s the Staff Training College (STC), presently known as NIPA, purchased Bwacha Hotel in order to train human resource who would take over the running of various public administrative affairs from the colonial rulers.
The STC trained mostly Executive Assistants and secretarial staff at the time.
It is hoped that in future, BRC will be NIPA’s centre for health related programmes. In its quest to respond to societal challenges, NIPA wishes to produce a cadre of health professionals that will respond to arresting various health related challenges in the 21st Century, such as the Novel Corona Virus Disease (COVID19) and HIV/AIDS.
The Campus is conveniently located close to the largest hospital in the country, the University Teaching Hospital (UTH). Our Institute is hopeful that the close proximity of our campus to UTH will enable our health professional future think tanks to practice their craft at the hospital.
