NIPA mourns Dr Msiska

The Institute is saddened by the recent demise of Dr Roland Msiska which occurred on 24th March, 2021.

Dr Msiska worked closely with the Institute during his tenure as Secretary to the Cabinet. He worked hard to keep NIPA’s flagship as a trendsetter in issues of Public Administration high. This was demonstrated when he was elected African Association for Public Administration and Management (AAPAM) president in 2015 and in 2018 for a second term.

NIPA has been host to the prestigious AAPAM training workshops aimed at training African thinkers and doers in public administration. It was at NIPA that Dr Msiaska was elected president of AAAPAM.

“Dr. Msiska Under his leadership, AAPAM has forged many partnerships and adopted transformative leadership as the strategy to achieve the development agenda. He fondly championed for youth empowerment, gender equality and digital transformation assuring us of their vital role in service delivery. His leadership and charisma will be dearly missed,” reads a stamen issued by AAPAM Secretary General, Dr George Scott.
